Molar ratio in stoichiometry

The molar ratio is the ratio of moles of one substance to moles of another in a balanced equation. It acts as a conversion factor between reactants and products.

moles B = moles A × (coefficient B / coefficient A)

Example: In 2H₂ + O₂ → 2H₂O, the molar ratio of H₂ to H₂O is 2:2 = 1:1. But H₂ to O₂ is 2:1.
